These are our core wardrobe basics that will make a good foundation to any wardrobe, weather you shop the latest trends or prefer classic pieces. The pieces we have selected will work all year round and be key pieces in mixing and matching.

2. White Tee

A simple white tee is an easy piece that can be paired with jeans or trousers for a fresh look or used for layering under knits or dresses in cooler months.

3. Leopard Print Scarf

We all love a little leopard in our lives and a scarf is a great way off adding a print to a clean look. Try this with your simple tee and black blazer or over a mac in spring.

4. White Sneakers

We are certainly making a move away from the heels to a comfortable sporty look and a classic trainers will go with anything from cropped jeans to a little black dress. We are lusting over the Maurti white trainers with simple pony hair trim.

5. Black skinny trousers

We love our jeans but sometimes its good to make a move away from them. A classic ankle grazer is the way forward and gives that chic look when you need to be a little more dressed up.

6. Trench Coat

A trench is a lightweight yet waterproof jacket and in its classic neutral colour is a go to time and time again. It is all about the iconic Burberry

7. A Leather Jacket

Yes, they really do go with everything! One for your down days and one for date night. My wardrobe is filled with a variety of colours and style that I have collected over the years. If you don’t own one – GET ONE!

8. The little black dress

How have we got to number eight without mentioning this! There is not one single item of clothing that isn’t more useful than the little black dress. They ooze simplicity, timelessness and are super versatile. Whenever we get a new style in the shop they certainly don’t hang around for long!

9. Button up shirt

A shirt always hits the middle between being casual and on point. Wear it with jeans, skirts or even over a bikini on location. A classic cotton one is great and a print always adds a twist. If you want a bit of luxury go for silk.

10. Knitted Sweater

We have well and truly left the cardigan behind in favour of the jumper. The ideal sweater will work with everything from distressed jeans to a pleated skirt. It is all about texture and luxuriousness. Another essential you can buy in every colour!

I have managed to narrow down our essential list to 10, yes ten isn’t much but it is the good foundation blocks for a great wardrobe. It will allow you to mix and match your clothes and add trends from each season to keep you current and on trend.
