Horizontal, Vertical, Asymmetric any which way, Stripes have the Edge this Season

This week the Spotlight is on Italian brand Silvian Heach. The collection this Spring/Summer17 is full of vibrancy, pattern, fun and lots of stripes! As a brand Silvian Heach pays a lot of attention to detail, weather it be fabric sourcing, embroidery or creating new fun prints. The collection is all very wearable; everyone will find a piece or to that they will be wearing over and over again this summer!

One of the key trends this SS17 is stripes, stripes to suit all shapes and varying in vertically, horizontally, abstract, asymmetric and so on. Dress them minimalistic with clean lines, simple shapes and block colour, or have some fun and layer them over each other, creating a new print with them when wearing them.

You can see here Emelia has combined and layered the trend, to create a striking new look. The brand Silvian Heach has shown many different stripes through their clothing, thin stripes, thick stripes and asymmetric stripes. One of the key looks is to layer the pieces together, layer the Rofrano top with the Primaluna crop pants,  to make an impact. Creating sporty, stylish looks. Or keep them as separates and part of your key basics, that you will wear time and time again.

Lightweight knits are a good transitional piece that will keep you warm on those chilly evenings. Transform your knit from an everyday piece to an item you can wear out at night, by layering a necklace on top. Welcome back Nour jewellery, stylish, colourful dainty pieces that transform and lift any outfit. We love the turquoise stone in this necklace, making the yellow pop even more. The Elia B London Taupe pumps compliment the knit well, wear with a pair of white skinnies and your look is completed

Silvian Heach gives a wide variety of different looks from your classic white and navy (nautical style) ones we all love, to abstract and asymmetric lines. We have styled the Bistagno Sweater many different ways and our favourite is to tuck the lightweight knit into Calvatone cropped trousers. A simple yet chic outfit that will look nice on your holidays wear with heels or keep the look casual with a pair of espadrilles. We love the shape of this knit and the pop of yellow colour in the stripe breaks up the nautical style.

The colour combination from the Bazola Sweater compliments the  biscuit coloured luxury J Brand Anya  jeans (that fit like a dream). Add a pair of our favourite espadrilles from Macarena, handmade in Spain, these super soft leather cushioned espadrilles are your shoe wardrobe must have.  This knit is perfect for anyone who wants to dip into the stripe trend, having the pattern at the front and a beautiful sheer blue fabric finish with buttons up the back  for extra detail.

This trend is not only for your core pieces, its nice to take it further and add some glamour. The Chietino dress is a perfect example, dress it up with pair of heels and your favourite clutch for that super sleek evening look. This dress is two garments in one, it has an extra layer that you can take off and wear separately as a top and pair of your shorts for a beach fun look, or simply wear it together.
